Here are 10 tips, which you can use as a guide on your wedding day, so that you wouldn`t wish that someone had told you before. All steps are written out of experience ; )
1. Due to high stress, you might face unexpected spots. You should wear minimum or no makeup at least 1 week prior your wedding day.
2. If you want to get a facial treatment before your wedding, I recommend you to get the treatment 2 weeks before your wedding day. Your skin might have unexpected rashes. You should consider every possible outcome. You wouldn’t want to have a flushed face whilst trying to get prettier.
3. Make-up experts all agree that make-up looks much better on a clean and moist skin. The classic routine, which consists of facial peeling as well as cleansing with a toner and moisturizer, should be performed right before getting your make-up done.
4. The right color of foundation is not only important for your bridal makeup but it is also important: All the time! The worst look on wedding pictures is the bride having a different shade of color on her face compared to her body. Your neck is the only part of your body where the color comparison should be done. The right tone can be obtained at daylight, on your neck.
5. No matter what style of make-up you choose, I strongly recommend that you get your eyeliner and false eyelashes done by a skilled make-up artist. If you don’t have the sufficient budget for your bridal make-up to be done by a make-up expert, I recommend you to get some help for the eyeliner and the false lashes. A little hint: You can purchase your false lashes form a MAC store and kindly ask them to help you apply them.
6. The wedding day is the day where you need a waterproof mascara the most. It’ll be almost impossible to control your emotions that day. Anything from a romantic gesture from your husband or a few emotional words from your dear father can bring tears to your eyes. It is in your best interest to wear waterproof mascara and not risk ruining your makeup. It will be hard to remove at the end of the day but trust me it is all worth it!
7. Lip gloss or lipstick? I would definitely say go with the lipstick. Lip-gloss won’t last the entire night. Well, unless you have a few extra bucks to hire someone who will check if you have gloss on your lips before every picture. Lipsticks last longer. Experience talking!
8. You must, I repeat, must apply the same shade of color (max. 1 or 2 tone darker) of lip pencil as your lipstick. Best solution to prevent the overflows. Don’t let these overflows be your nightmare as you won’t be able control how much you sweat while you’re on the dance floor.
9. On my wedding day I wore a lipstick, which was applied by the magical hands of Ulker and lasted even during the after-party. For those who want to apply it themselves, the first step is to frame your lips with the lip pencil giving it a thicker look. After applying the initial layer of your lipstick, get rid of the excess amount off of your lips by simply giving a few kisses to a clean tissue. Next step will be applying facial powder on your lips with the help of a brush. A secret amongst makeup experts (which they tend not to share) allowing your lipstick to last longer than usual. Last step will be applying a final layer of lipstick. Voilaaa! Now you are ready for the long lasting marathon of dancing and taking pictures!
10. The most important part of your bridal makeup is this final step: Laughter. Your laughter and smiles will be the most important part of your makeup, making you look prettier than ever. Without your smile no makeup of whatsoever can make you look beautiful. I hope you wont have laughter out of your life from your special day onwards…

Stay on your safe zone. This’ll allow you to enjoy your pictures, instead of making fun of, even after 10 years from your wedding.

1.Düğünden önceki dönemde stressin etkileri ile yüzünüzde sivilcelerle karşılaşabilirsiniz. Düğün öncesindeki 1 hafta cildinizin nefes alması için olabildiğince makyaj yapmamanız da yarar var.
2.Düğün öncesinde cilt bakımı yaptırmayı planlayanlar için önerim minimum 2 hafta öncesine randevu almanız. Cildinizin göstereceği sürpriz reaksiyonlar olabilir. Her ihtimali düşünmelisiniz. Güzelleşeceğiz derken bu önemli günde kızarmış ördek yavrusu gibi olabilirsiniz.
3.Güzellik uzmanları en güzel makyajın tertemiz ve nemli bir ciltte kendini göstereceği konusunda hemfikirdirler. Yüz peelingi ile temizlenip, tonik ve nemlendirici ile devam eden klasik rutini makyaja başlamadan hemen önce mutlaka yapın.
4. Doğru fondöten rengini bulmak, sadece gelin makyajı için değil her zaman önemlidir. Düğün fotoğraflarında en kötü görünecek şey vücudunuzdan farlı bir renkte surattır. Denemeyi mutlaka boynunuzda yapın yüz ve vücut tonunuz arasında farklılık olabilir en doğru tonu gün ışığında boynunuz da yakalayacaksınız.
5.Ne stilde bir makyaj seçerseniz seçin, gelin makyajında olmazsa olmaz iyi ellerden çıkmış bir eyeliner ve ilave kirpiklerdir. Düğün makyajınızı yaptırmak için bütçeniz yoksa da eyeliner ve takma kirpikler için yardım almanızı tavsiye ederim. Mac mağazalarından ilave kirpiklerinizi alıp takmanıza yardımcı olmalarını rica edebilirsiniz. Benden söylemesi ; )
6. Suda çıkmayan maskaralara en çok ihtiyacımız olan gün; duygularınızı kontrol etmekte zorlanacağınız ortada. Müstakbel eşinizden gelecek romantik bir jest yada babanızın size söyleyeceği duygulu sözler, gözlerinizin dolmasına neden olabilir. En iyisi bu riski göze almadan waterproof maskara kullanmak. Gece çıkarmak için biraz fazla uğraşacaksınız ama buna değer bana inanın.
7. Dudaklarda ruj mu yoksa parlatıcı mı derseniz? Kesinlikle ruj derim. Glosslar kesinle dudağınızda tüm gece dayanmayacaktır. Eğer her resimden önce dudağınızda ruj var mı diye bakacak extra birini tutacak bütçeniz varsa gloss ta şahane fikir. Rujların kalıcılığı çok daha yüksektir. Tecrübe ile sabit : )
8.Rujunuzla aynı tonda (max.1-2 ton koyusu) dudak kalemi mutlaka ve mutlaka uygulanmalı! Taşmalara karşı alınacak en iyi önlem. Dans ederken terlediğinizde fark etmeyeceğiniz bu taşlamalar düğün resimlerine bakarken kabusunuz olmasın.
