CFDA 2014 Fashion Awards Ceremony, sponsored by Swarovski, was held at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, New York this year.

Rihanna received her Fashion Icon award from Anna Wintour, the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue USA. Rihanna, which didn’t come as a surprise, was the most eye-catching celebrity of the event.  The dress she wore to the event clearly indicated how much she deserved her award. The 1920’s Art-deco era is one of my favorites and hence I absolutely admire her style. However, the transparency was a little bit over the top!

The other winners of the night were:

• The Womenswear Designer of the Year: Joseph Altuzarra for Altuzarra,
• The Menswear Designer of the Year: Maxwell Osborne & Dao-Yi Chow for Public School
• The Accessories Designer of the Year: Mary-Kate Olsen & Ashley Olsen for The Row
• The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award: Tom Ford

Engraving over 230.000 Swarovski crystals formed the fabric of the dress.

Rihanna  Moda ikonu ödülünü, Vogue Amerika genel yayın yönetmeni Anna Wintour`un elinden aldı. Gecenin en ses getiren kişisi tabi ki Rihanna oldu. Ödül töreninde giydiği kıyafet ile aldığı ödülü sonuna kadar hak ettiğini göstermiş oldu.  20`ler (Art-Deco) dönemi kişisel olarak benim favorilerim arasındadır, bu nedenle tarzını çok sevdiğimi söylemeliyim. Ama transparanlığın dozu biraz fazlaydı…

Ralf Simmons has managed to move the entire fashion world from Manhattan to Brooklyn, with the help of the Dior boats.

Celebrities such as Marion Cotillard and Olivia Palermo were seated at the front row of the Resort show, which took place at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Rihanna was wearing Dior from head to toe. Her powder pink dress was my favorite amongst the all.

The illustrations of my favorite designs from the Dior Resort 2015 collection, as well as the article about it, will be on the blog tomorrow. So, stay tuned!

Welcome to the colorful jungle of Olivier Rousteing!

With the hint of YSL’s iconic safari collection and up to date hip-hop culture, the most assertive collection of Winter 2014 is from Balmain Paris…

I should say that every piece is sexy, ambitious and wearable at the same time.Animal (leopard, zebra) prints, leather-satin contrast and vivid primary colors* are the fundamental aspects of the collection. If you’re asking for the star of the collection, I would definitely say military style khaki models. The most important pieces of the puzzle are the wide shoulder leather jackets, massive gold earrings and belts that highlight the thin waistlines. When you are talking about Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain, you cannot go on without mentioning Rihanna. It seems like Rousteing will not part with her muse, which he worked with during the summer campaign, that easily.

PS: * There are 3 primary colors, which the human eye can catch. These are red, blue and yellow.

YSL`nın ikonik safari koleksiyonun esintileri ile güncel hip-hop kültürün birleşiminden oluşan 2014 kışının en iddialı koleksiyonu Balmain Paris’ten …

Her parçasının seksi ve iddialı olup aynı zamanda giyilebilir olduğunu söylemeliyim. Hayvan (zebra, leopar) desenleri,  deri-saten zıtlığı ve  canlı ana renkler* koleksiyonun temel öğeleri arasındadır. Ama koleksiyonun starını soracak olursanız, kesinlikle askeri formlu haki modeller demeliyim. İnce belleri vurgulayan kemerler, iri altın küpeler ve geniş omuzlu deri ceketler yapbozun önemli parçaları. Olivier Rousteing`li Balmain den bahsederken Rihanna`ya değinmeden geçemeyiz. Yaz kampanyasında birlikte çalıştığı ilham perisi ile Rousteing yollarını kolay kolay ayıramayacak gibi gözüküyor.
