Viktor & Rolf have found their muse from the red carpet itself for their Fall 2014 couture collection. The dresses, which remind us of the primitive women, are formed of exotic animal figures and giant bows.

This season, Viktor & Rolf has transitioned into natural hair and make up wearing primitive women from ballerinas with frizzy hair. (check out our post ‘Ballerinas for Bonbon’)

It is a big mystery whether I’ll wear these dresses myself. However, I really enjoyed checking them out and sketching them. Doesn’t the idea of wearing these giant bows make you feel great?

Viktor&Rolf, 2014 sonbahar couture koleksiyonunun ilhamını kırmızı halının kendisinde bulmuş. Taş devri kadınlarını anımsatan sadece kırmızı renkten oluşan koleksiyonda, abartılı büyüklükte fiyonklar ve egzotik hayvan desenleri var.

Viktor&Rolf, kabarık saçlı balerinlerden, (yazıyı hatırlamak isteyenler ‘Ballerinas for Bonbon’ a göz atabilir) doğal saç ve makyajlı taş devri kadınlarına geçiş yaptı bu sezon.

Bu kıyafetleri giyer miydim orası soru işareti ama çizmesi ve incelemesi bana mutluluk verdi. Bu devasa fiyonkları giyme fikri size de kendinizi iyi hissettirmiyor mu?

We’re on the day after of a little fairytale…Valli woman are on the catwalk, in the morning after a long night wearing her sunglasses and gathering her hair up with a silk scarf…She is combining her dress, which she couldn’t get enough of, on top of her PJ’s.

Valli presents her young couture clients with a new approach by combining traditional and up-to-date couture elements. Would it be possible to see a couture jacket covered in 3D handcrafted flowers in lila combined with trousers with curled hemlines during the 50’s?

Street and High fashion are merging with one and other. Haute Couture is gradually becoming comfort-chic like street fashion.

If we could have Couture sneakers, a trend which Dior started in the previous seasons, why not have Valli Couture pajamas!

Küçük bir masalın ertesi günündeyiz … Geç biten gecenin sabahında uykusuz gözlerinizi gözlükle, dağınık saçlarınızı ipek eşarp ile saklayarak podyumda Valli kadını. Dün gece giymeye doyamadığı elbisesini pijamasının üstünde kombinliyor. Geçen gecedeki saç ve makyaj bizlerin hayal gücüne kalıyor sanki

Valli geleneksel Couture unsurlarını güncel moda ile harmanlayıp genç couture müşterilerine yeni bir yaklaşım sunuyor. 50 li yıllarda ,Lila 3 boyutlu el yapımı çiçekler ile bezenmiş couture ceket altında paçaları kıvrılmış pantolonu bir arada görebilir miydik ?

Sokak modası ve Yüksek Moda(high fashion) birbirinden ayrılmayacak kadar birbirinin içine girmiş durumda. Haute-Couture giderek sokak modasının rahat şıklığına yaklaşıyor.

Geçen sezonlarda Dior ile başlayan Couture spor ayakkabılar olurda , Valli Couture pijamalar neden olmasın !

Generally speaking, although I am not a fan of DV’s designs, I must say that she manages to provide women with the things that they need to have a sexy look. J.Lo got all the attention on the first row with her asymmetric pants gown, which was in sync with the spirit of the show.

The masculine and feminine harmony of the collection has impressed me much more than the other collections. If I were to define this collection, I could say that it is DV’s interpretation of suit forms in a Charles James volumized silhouette.

The spirit of Angelina Jolie’s revealing Atelier Versace dress, which she wore to the 2012 Academy Awards, was in the lead at the show. : )

Paris Haute-Couture defilelerinin ilki Donatella Versace`nin tasarımları ile Atelier Versace`ydi.

Genel olarak söylemem gerekirse DV tasarımlarının çok büyük hayranı sayılmasamda seksi gözükmek isteyen kadınlara her zaman istediklerini vermeyi başardığını söylemeliyim. First row da J.LO, defilenin ruhunu yansıtan asimetrik pantolonlu elbisesi ile dikkatleri üzerine topladı.

Bu koleksiyondaki maskülen-feminen uyumu beni diğer koleksiyonlarına göre çok etkiledi. Koleksiyonu tanımlarken takım elbise formları ile Charles James volümlü siluetinin DV yorumu diyebilirim.

Angelina Jolie`nın 2012 Akademi Ödül töreninde Atelier Versace elbisesi ile olay yaratan bacak dekoltesinin ruhu bu koleksiyonda başrole oturmuş. : )

P.S. You do remember Angelina’s right leg which created madness in the social media, don’t you?

Chanel women out grocery shopping!!!

The sneaker trend which began at the couture runway shows, has struck the Chanel ready-to-wear collection (You can find the details on my “It’s Couture Baby!” article).

One other thing, which catches the eye besides Karl Lagerfeld’s mastermind collection, is the design of the stage. The detail decorated market shelves and every item on them will blow your mind. From washing powder boxes, potato chips to doormats, everything was prepared especially for the magical Chanel Shopping Center.

One thing is for sure, Karl Lagerfeld does not accept women into the shopping center with stilettos on : )

Couture defileleri ile başlayan spor ayakkabılar trendi , Chanel hazır giyim  koleksiyonunada damgasını vurdu. ( “It`s Couture Baby!” yazımda bulabilirsiniz)

Karl Lagerfeld`ın zekasından çıkan koleksiyon kadar ilgi geçen diğer unsurda sahne tasarımında uygulanmış. Hiç bir detay atlanmadan dekore edilen market rafları ve üzerindeki tüm ürünler aklınızı kaçırmanıza neden oluyor. Deterjan kutularından , patates cipsine paspas a kadar herşey büyülü Chanel market için özel hazırlanmıştı.

Welcome to the colorful jungle of Olivier Rousteing!

With the hint of YSL’s iconic safari collection and up to date hip-hop culture, the most assertive collection of Winter 2014 is from Balmain Paris…

I should say that every piece is sexy, ambitious and wearable at the same time.Animal (leopard, zebra) prints, leather-satin contrast and vivid primary colors* are the fundamental aspects of the collection. If you’re asking for the star of the collection, I would definitely say military style khaki models. The most important pieces of the puzzle are the wide shoulder leather jackets, massive gold earrings and belts that highlight the thin waistlines. When you are talking about Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain, you cannot go on without mentioning Rihanna. It seems like Rousteing will not part with her muse, which he worked with during the summer campaign, that easily.

PS: * There are 3 primary colors, which the human eye can catch. These are red, blue and yellow.

Olivier Rousteing ‘in  vahşi ormanına hoş geldiniz!

YSL`nın ikonik safari koleksiyonun esintileri ile güncel hip-hop kültürün birleşiminden oluşan 2014 kışının en iddialı koleksiyonu Balmain Paris’ten …

Her parçasının seksi ve iddialı olup aynı zamanda giyilebilir olduğunu söylemeliyim. Hayvan (zebra, leopar) desenleri,  deri-saten zıtlığı ve  canlı ana renkler* koleksiyonun temel öğeleri arasındadır. Ama koleksiyonun starını soracak olursanız, kesinlikle askeri formlu haki modeller demeliyim. İnce belleri vurgulayan kemerler, iri altın küpeler ve geniş omuzlu deri ceketler yapbozun önemli parçaları. Olivier Rousteing`li Balmain den bahsederken Rihanna`ya değinmeden geçemeyiz. Yaz kampanyasında birlikte çalıştığı ilham perisi ile Rousteing yollarını kolay kolay ayıramayacak gibi gözüküyor.

Not: * İnsan gözünün algılayabildiği 3 ana renk  vardır. Bunlar kırmızı, mavi, sarı olarak kabul edilir.

Ulyana Sergeenko is continuing to produce unseen creations for the fashion world with the use of her Russian origin.

Being inspired by the Femme Fatale passengers of the Orient Express, she has used elegantly detailed craftsmanship, best fabrics and impressive details in her collection. Every design dazzles and looks like a costume used in an early 20th century movie rather than a new fashion item. The collection lacks the general up to date fashion trends, as the fashion world is in a modern era, we must confess that the runway show was rather fascinating. You can see my favorite pieces from the collection in my illustrations.

PS: Orlando Pita and Pat McGrath, whom both have become legends during John Galliano’s Christian Dior, have done Hair and makeup.

Ulyana Sergeenko her koleksiyonunda Rus kökenlerine sadık kalarak moda dünyasına değişik hikayeler anlatmaya devam ediyor.

İlhamını Orient Express ile seyahat eden Femme Fatale ruhlu kadınlardan alan Ulyana,  koleksiyonunda detaylarla zenginleştirilmiş işçilik, en iyi kalite kumaşlar ve ince ayrıntılar kullanmış. Her tasarım 1900’lerin başında yaratılan hayal ürünü bir filmin parçası gibi insanı büyülerken, güncel modadan ziyade kostüm etkisi yaratıyor. Moda dünyasının içinde bulunduğu modern dönem nedeniyle, genel havadan uzak kalan bir koleksiyon olsa da, büyüleyici bir show olduğunu itiraf etmeliyiz. Koleksiyondan favori parçalarımı illüstrasyonlarımda görebilirsiniz.

Two magical cities…

I always plan my next visit to these cities before I leave to make the farewells much easier. As both cities are so extraordinary and so unique, it is impossible not to be dazzled by them. If your’re lucky enough to be living in one of these cities, you should count yourself very lucky as there are so many people who would die  to be in your shoes.

Vahram Muratyan have demonstarted the differences and the similarities of the daily lives of these cities perfectly with his illustrations. Every page includes an illustration which gives you nothing but joy. You realize the value of small details which we disregard during our daily lives.

You should definitely have a copy of Paris versus New York. It’s one of my favorite coffee table book. Reading this book whilst having a sip from my copy exhilarates me. It will definitely put a smile on your face as well.

This book will enable you to witness these cities from a different perspective. Well, which city is your pick?

Espresso or Americano?

P.S. I purchased this book from historical bookstore ‘Shakespeare and Company’  on one of my visits to Paris. You should definitely check it out if you visit the Notre-Dame area.

İki büyülü şehir…

Bu iki şehre her gidişimde bir sonraki seyahatimin yakın bir zamanda olması için planlar yapmaya başlıyorum. Ancak bu şekilde vedalar biraz daha kolaylaşabiliyor. İki şehirde o kadar sıra dışı, o kadar  eşsiz ki büyülenmemek elde değil. Tabi bu şehirlerden birinde yaşayacak kadar şanslıysanız, bunun keyfini çıkarın. Bilin ki sizin yerinizde olmak isteyen çok kişi var.

Paris ve New York’un farklılıklarını-benzerliklerini günlük hayatın içinden kareler ile Vahram Muratyan illüstrasyonlarında çok güzel anlatmış. Her sayfayı çevirdiğinizde size mutluluk verecek bir illüstrasyonla daha karşılaşıyorsunuz. Koşturmacalar içinde üzerine çok düşünmediğimiz küçük detayları, bu yaratıcı kitapta görünce değerini alıyorsunuz.

Paris versus New York mutlaka kütüphanenizde yerini almalı. Benim favori kahve masası kitaplarımdan biri. Kahvemi yudumlarken elime bu kitap geldiğinde beni çok mutlu ediyor, sizin de yüzünüze bir gülümseme getireceğine eminim.

İkisi de çok özel olan bu şehirleri  kitapta farklı bir açıdan göreceksiniz. Peki ya sizin tercihiniz hangisi?
